International Student Transfer Form

Student Transfer-In Form (PDF)

This form is required of all foreign students who are transferring their visa to the University of Delaware's English Language Institute. Please ask a designated school official at your current school to complete this form and have it sent to the Office of International Students and Scholars (OISS) as per the instructions on the form.

Please note: If you plan on leaving the country before completing the transfer-In process, you will need to apply for a new, initial I-20 form and obtain a new visa.

This is only necessary if someone else will pay for your studies.
If your family or a friend will pay for your studies, please ask them to create and sign a letter of sponsorship.
If your sponsor lives in the USA, the letter of sponsorship must be notarized.

Transcripts(transfer students only) -
If you attended any other institutions in the USA before coming to the ELI, you must send us a transcript for all programs attended.All transfer students must be in good academic standing at their previous institutions. Students who are not in good academic standing will be denied admission to the ELI.

Proof of Academic Success Form(transfer students only) -
If you attended any other institution in the USA before coming to the ELI, you must download and submit a Proof of Academic Success form for the most recent institution you attended.All transfer students must be in good academic standing at their previous institutions. Students who are not in good academic standing will be denied admission to the ELI.

If you attended any other institutions in the USA before coming to the ELI, you must send us a copy of every I-20 form that you were ever issued.

TOEFL or IELTS score(optional) - Please upload a copy of your test score. We do not need your official scores from the ETS testing site. Although TOEFL or IELTS scores are not required for admission to our program, students will often choose to submit one of these scores before coming to UD. Submitting a TOEFL score will help us evaluate your placement before you leave your country. It will also give you the best chance for placement into priority housing according to your level.
