    College Visit Opportunities

    STAR Campus Tours

    The College of Health Sciences invites you to tour the Science Technology and Research (STAR) Campus with our current student ambassadors. During the tour, you will learn more about our 13 majors, research labs, and community clinics. A tour of STAR Campus will last approximately 45 minutes. This tour does not include a tour of main campus, academic buildings, dining, or residence halls.

    Department Visit Opportunities

    Tour the School of Nursing

    The College of Health Sciences (CHS) invites you to tour the School of Nursing to learn more about our direct entry Bachelor of Science in Nursing. In addition to learning about our Nursing curriculum, you will also get to tour our simulation labs where our Nursing students develop hands-on skills to prepare them for clinicals. This tour is of the School of Nursing only and does not include a tour of STAR Complex or Main Campus.

    Note: The School of Nursing does not accept transfer student applications to the program. Please visit the CHS website to learn more about our other health profession majors.

    Health Behavior and Nutrition Sciences Information Session

    The health behavior science and nutrition majors are designed for those interested in health-related clinical, industry or research careers such as a registered dietitian or health and wellness director, as well as those interested in obtaining a marketable bachelor's degree while completing pre-medical, pre-physician assistant, pre-dental, pre-occupational therapy, pre-physical therapy and accelerated nursing coursework.

    Join us for an exciting and informative session designed to kickstart your journey in the health sciences. We’ll begin with an overview of our majors, highlighting various career paths and preparation opportunities, whether you're aiming for graduate school, or pursuing a career as a medical doctor, physician assistant, dietitian/nutritionist, pharmacist, physical therapist, dentist, or occupational therapist.

    Following the overview, dive into interactive, hands-on activities that will introduce you to essential health assessment methods. You'll get a firsthand look at the skills and topics you’ll encounter in our courses, including blood pressure monitoring, dietary assessment, physical activity evaluation, and evidence-based strategies for promoting healthier behaviors.
